7th March 2009 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 20-25 knots Surf / Sea State: 1-2 foot messy surf Air Temperature: 9ºC Sea Temperature: 7ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: After earning brownie points by taking Morgan swimming this morning the wind filled in towards the end of the day so i went out for a quick windsurf... I'm embarrassed to say that it was the first windsurf session of 2009 for me. Over two months without a session, unheard of. The wind was around 2025 knots although there were some 30 knots gusts whilst I was out. I went out with a 5.6m and my Naish Hybrid Freewave and sailed OK considering my lack of time on the water. A few little jumps some nice gybes and the odd short wave ride. Packed up only to discover the wheel on my wheel-barrow had gone flat so had to struggle back home with my kit and a flat tyre which was surpirsingly difficult... Now my back hurts and my arms ache thanks to the broken wheel-barrow... Will have to get that sorted. |
